The Sussex Area Community Foundation is seeking applications for the following summer employment opportunity in 2026.
Community Information Officer (summer student employment)
Who can apply for this position:
- be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of their summer job
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the job and
- be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. This includes having a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of their summer job.
Skills:
- Efficient with Microsoft Word and Canva. A knowledge of WordPress would be an asset.
- Experience with social media, customer service and technical writing skills.
- Self-directed, task focused, organized, detail oriented and willing to take direction.
Position:
Located in Sussex, New Brunswick for 35 hours per week from May 11 to July 3, 2026.
The job will include updating the website, visiting, assisting and interviewing other local charities, updating/creating documents for the Community Foundation and other related tasks.
