One Sussex Vale Quilters’ Guild Scholarship valued at $500.00 will be awarded yearly to a student graduating from high school.
Who Can Apply: Current graduating students of Belleisle Regional High School, Petitcodiac Regional High School, Sussex Christian School or Sussex Regional High School who plans to attend a fully accredited post-secondary institution in the fall of graduating year.
Application: The application must include an acceptance letter or conditional acceptance from a post-secondary institution, a sample of the fibre art(s) of interest to the student, and a completed application.
Criteria: The intent of this award is to help a local student who wants to further their education in the field of fibre art(s). This could included graphic design, textile design, fashion design, textile restoration, costuming and other related programs.
Due Date: Completed applications are due the fourth Friday of May at 12pm to the Sussex Area Community Foundation. The Sussex Area Community Foundation administers this scholarship on behalf of the Sussex Vale Quilters’ Guild. Contact information is sacfi@nb.aibn.com or 506-433-6244.
